I Need Your Support Again
Hello AME Ministers far and wide:
Next week, those of us in the 5th Episcopal District will be heading to
Denver, Colorado for our Mid-Year Convocation, called by our Presiding
Prelate, Bishop T. Larry Kirkland and hosted by our very capable pastor, The
Reverend Doctor Timothy Tyler and the wonderful people of Shorter Community
I am asking for your support in three ways as I take my campaign to
be the next editor of The Christian Recorder: 1. Pray for me. Above anything
else I need to be under girded with prayer for my safety, well-being and
wisdom for the task ahead. 2. Stand with me again. Those who will be in
attendance, I will need you to stand with me as I make a progress report and
brief campaign speech (if the schedule allows). 3. Donate to the cause. So
many have utilized my GofundMe site (http://www.gofundme.com/6dso9o)
to show your support - thank you. If you haven't donated, please do, any
little bit helps as I travel over these next 2 years. Many of you have given
me loads of advice as I go forward. Thank you. It has helped make me a

Rebuilding The Wall Brick By Brick
To Our Christian Friends:
We, the members of Mariah Walker AME Church are pleading for your prayers
and support as we are preparing to rebuild the wall of our church. As you
may know, we have not been able to worship at Mariah Walker due to this
damage. Mariah Walker has been our home for over 50 years and we want it to
be open another 50 years. Our goal is to raise $10,000.00 by the end of June
2014 with God’s help. We are workers together with him.
We would be grateful for any donations as we prepare to return home with
your help. Our situation should not change our praise and our praise can
certainly change our situation.

We are pleased to introduce a new resource partner, G3 Giving, an
electronic giving company based in Nashville, TN. The company is the
national distributor for a suite of products called the "Giving Kiosk", the
leading electronic, in-church donation and registration kiosk company in the
United States. They have been helping churches all across the country since
2007 to increase their tithes and offerings by an average of 16%.
The company's principal product is a touch screen device that allows
people to quickly register for events and support the church financially by
simply swiping a debit or credit card. As a culture, we have been trained to
use our debit/credit cards for everything we do and as a result are quickly
becoming a cashless/paperless society. For the member or visitor that is
moved by an experience at church and has no check or cash, this user
friendly interface allows them to respond immediately. The proof is in their
results; the company's 90 day pledge of total satisfaction or a full refund
has never been used in over 1,000 installations.
We have met with Donn Beam one of the owners of G3 Giving on multiple
occasions and believe him to be someone who possesses the character,
integrity and trust we look for in a person we would do business with. His
attention to detail and level of service is outstanding. After careful
thought and much due diligence, we endorse G3 Giving and the Giving Kiosk
suite of products. We believe that the use of this type of technology is a
valuable tool for the church.
We encourage each of you to engage the G3 giving team to learn more about
how you can implement this product into your church. They have a product
line that will serve and address the specific needs that are unique to each
of you and your churches. His contact information is listed below. Please do
not hesitate to reach out to him. He is ready and willing to help us all to
