Look At Deaconess Davis!
the other day I held a Quarter at Mariah Walker A.M.E. Church, Kansas City,
Missouri and Deaconess Davis who is in her nineties , after giving her
report, told me that she is still driving. I didn't believe her, so I asked
to see her driver's license. She proudly produced a current Missouri
driver's license. I still didn't believe her, so I asked her if it would be
alright if I walked her to her car after the meeting. Yes, she still gets
around better than many people one-half her age! So now, don't tell me what
you can't do; tell me what you can do!
He Still Has The Trophy!
case you don't know, the Rev. Warren Freeman, pastor of Willis Chapel A.M.E.
Church has the Lay Trophy! He has issued a challenge to the pastors of the
Midwest Conference to come and get the Trophy if you can! That's right. Rev.
Freeman intends to keep the Trophy forever!

"I can do all things, through Christ who gives me STRENGTH!!!"
My son, Mitch, has a thriving business, Blue Beetle (termites, other
pests, etc.,) and Red Beetle (fire extinguishers). The business has
grown to the point of not having enough techs to handle the demand. He
has asked me to recruit reliable young men looking for a job, which includes
$15 an hour plus a company car to drive back and forth to work. No
prior experience necessary.
The company is located at the corner of 63rd and Main--big blue house.

St. John’s rich history. Placing an ad in the Souvenir Journal will provide an
opportunity for you to salute the proud history of St. John A.M.E. Church.
The success of the 146th Church Anniversary Celebration cannot be measured by
one individual, but rather by many who give their generous support to its
Souvenir Journal. With your support, we hope to make the journal one which you
will enjoy and keep for many years to come. Please fill out the Souvenir Journal
Advertisement Response Form and return it to the church. You will find all the

importance of having an Online presence. I learned how to build and maintain
Websites in order to reach beyone the walls of the local church into the
global community. It hasn't been easy and many times I have considered
giving up. I want you to know that people like you give me a reason to
continue. Once again, thank you Celia!

If you are interested in this property, please call Paul Sims @
October 6, 2014 St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church, 400 W. Spruce
Street, Olathe, Kansas held a Church Conference to discuss and make a decision
about the future of the church. By a unanimous vote of the membership, St. Paul
decided to close its doors.
Some of the reasons include, but are not limited to, a dwindling membership
and the inability to pay current financial obligations. St. Paul stood as the
only A.M.E. Church in Johnson County, the State of Kansas.
Please keep the former members of St. Paul in your prayers as they seek
another place to worship.

Rebuilding The Wall Brick By Brick
To Our Christian Friends:
We, the members of Mariah Walker AME Church are pleading for your prayers
and support as we are preparing to rebuild the wall of our church. As you
may know, we have not been able to worship at Mariah Walker due to this
damage. Mariah Walker has been our home for over 50 years and we want it to
be open another 50 years. Our goal is to raise $10,000.00 by the end of June
2014 with God’s help. We are workers together with him.
We would be grateful for any donations as we prepare to return home with
your help. Our situation should not change our praise and our praise can
certainly change our situation.
